Position Overview

We are looking for a Test Engineer with strong experience in both manual and automation testing, with solid expertise in Appium and Selenium. The engineer will work closely with the development team, validating product quality by executing functional tests and automating test cases alongside developer user stories.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Strategy

Develop automation test plans and obtain stakeholder approval

Define and document automation strategy using design frameworks

Create comprehensive test plans, test scripts, test cases, and test data

Execution & Reporting

Perform manual and automated testing for web and mobile applications

Record and track test results, creating and closing defects as necessary

Reproduce field issues in the test environment and support root-cause analysis

Collaboration & Process

Participate in design discussions and provide input to improve testability

Engage in daily stand-ups and sprint activities in an Agile environment

Install, configure, and validate product functionality in test and production-like setups

Contribute to user story creation and acceptance criteria from a QA perspective

Required Skills & Experience

Testing Skills

Strong experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications

Hands-on experience with automation tools:

Appium (Good to have)

Java, Selenium

Solid understanding of QA methodologies:

Boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, pairwise testing

Decision tables, state transition, white-box fundamentals

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Java or JavaScript for automation

Experience with BDD frameworks and Page Object Model (POM)

Experience testing cloud-based applications and RESTful APIs

Familiarity with test case management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, TestLodge, etc.)

Working knowledge of Bitbucket/SVN or similar version control systems

Soft Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to rapidly learn new technologies and adapt to complex environments

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field

3+ years of experience in QA/Test Engineering (Web/Mobile/SDK)

Experience with Atlassian suite: Jira, Confluence

Exposure to CI tools: Jenkins, Bamboo

Experience with products involving hardware + software components

Nice to have: Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Nice to have: Basic understanding of security testing and performance testing
