ob Description: Test Automation & Infrastructure Specialist (C# | DevOps | Industrial Automation)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer with 2-7 years of experience to join our Industrial Automation team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C# test automation, DevOps practices, and domain knowledge in Industrial Automation systems.

Educational Qualification

• B.E/B.Tech/MCA/M.E/M.Tech/MSc in Computer Science or related fields

Experience Requirements

• 2-7 years of professional experience in Test Automation and Software Quality Assurance
• Proven track record in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks

Technical Skills (Required)

Primary Skills - Test Automation & C#:

• Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with C# programming
• Expertise in NUnit or similar testing frameworks
• Experience in Selenium/Playright development
• Solid understanding and application of OOP principles, analysis, and design
• Knowledge of test coverage analysis and test optimization techniques
• Commitment to following development best practices and crafting high-quality, maintainable code

Secondary Skills - DevOps & Infrastructure:

• Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline setup and management
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation tasks
• Experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps/TFS (YAML pipelines, vNext builds)
• Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and build automation
• Experience in VM Management and virtual infrastructure

Version Control & Collaboration:

• Hands-on experience with source control tools (Git, Azure DevOps, TFS)
• Collaborating effectively within an Agile (Scrum) development team

AI-Powered Development:

• Motivated to leverage GenAI tools like GitHub Copilot (GHCP) for enhanced productivity and continuous learning
• Interest in exploring AI-assisted testing and automation approaches

Domain Knowledge (Preferred)

• Industrial Automation domain experience
• Preferred working knowledge of TIA Portal and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
• Preferred Understanding of industrial control systems and automation workflows, Understanding of Safety System.

Additional Advantages

• Safety Domain knowledge (functional safety standards like IEC 61508, ISO 13849)
• Experience with SonarQube or similar code quality tools
• Cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure)
• Linux environment experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using C# and NUnit
• Create and optimize test scripts for industrial automation systems
• Develop TIF macros for test interface automation
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, TFS, and Azure DevOps
• Write PowerShell and Ansible scripts for test environment setup and configuration
• Manage virtual machine infrastructure for testing purposes
• Analyze test coverage and implement optimization strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
• Utilize GenAI tools to enhance testing efficiency and code quality
• Document test processes, results, and best practices
