Project Role Description : Lead the transformation of testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function through the use of quality processes, tools, and methodologies significantly improving control, accuracy and integrity. Summary: We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Lead/Manager to spearhead our test automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation frameworks, experience with multiple programming languages, and the ability to lead a team in developing a comprehensive testing strategy for parity testing across diverse libraries and technologies. Responsibilities: Leadership and Strategy: Lead and manage a team of test automation engineers in the design, development, and implementation of test automation strategies and frameworks. Develop and execute a roadmap for building and enhancing test automation capabilities, focusing on parity testing across various programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C++, NodeJS, PHP, Rust, Ruby). Framework Development: Oversee the creation and maintenance of a robust test automation framework that supports multiple languages and libraries. Ensure the framework is scalable, maintainable, and integrates seamlessly with CI/CD pipelines. Team Management: Mentor and guide team members in best practices for test automation and quality assurance. Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify training needs for the team. Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to understand requirements and ensure the test automation strategy aligns with overall project goals. Integrate test automation frameworks with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and advancements in test automation and incorporate new tools and methodologies as appropriate. Analyze test results, track metrics, and implement improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness. Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for test automation frameworks, processes, and procedures. Provide regular reports on test automation progress, issues, and metrics to stakeholders. Requirements: Experience and Skills: Proven experience in leading and managing test automation programs and teams. Strong expertise in developing and implementing test automation frameworks for various programming languages. Proficiency in unit testing and integration testing frameworks. Hands-on experience with open-source testing libraries and tools. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, particularly GitHub Actions. Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of test automation engineers. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Technical Background: Strong programming skills in at least two of the following languages: Java, Python, Go, C++, NodeJS, PHP, Rust, Ruby. Experience with performance testing and load testing frameworks is a plus. Preferred: Experience with cloud-based testing solutions and frameworks. Knowledge of test automation best practices and strategies for scaling and maintaining large test suites. Contributions to open-source projects or active involvement in the testing community. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 7.5 years of experience in Automated Testing - This position is based at our Hyderabad office - A 15 years full-time education is required
