About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilledSenior QA Automation Engineerwith strongcore Python programmingexpertiseand hands-on experience inWeb UI and API automation. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and building scalable automation frameworks, ensuring high product quality across browser extension, web UI, and API layers.

This role requires someone who can independently architect automation solutions, drive best practices, and contribute to improving overall QA processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, andmaintainautomation frameworks from scratch using Python.
• Automatebrowser extension workflowsand complex UI interactions.
• Develop andmaintainWeb UI automationusing Playwright.
• Build robustAPI automation test suitesusing Python (requests,pytest).
• Implement scalable test architecture usingPage Object Model (POM).
• Contribute to and maintainBDD frameworks(e.g.,pytest-bdd, behave, or similar).
• Develop andmaintainUI regression test suites.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyzetest failures, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering teams.
• Ensure test coverage, reliability, and maintainability of automation code.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote automation best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5 to 7 yearsof strong programmingexpertiseinPython (must-have).
• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Hands-on experience withPlaywright (Python).
• Experience automating modern web applications.
• Knowledge of handling dynamic elements, waits, selectors, and cross-browser testing.
• Strong experience withPython requests module.
• Experience writing automated API tests usingpytest.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, status codes, authentication mechanisms, and JSON validation.
• Experience implementingPage Object Model (POM).
• Experience working with or implementingBDD frameworks.
• Experience in structured test reporting and logging.
• Experience with UI regression automation strategies.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD integration.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience withLLM / GenAI-based testing approaches.
• Experience testing browser extensions.
• Experience with Docker or containerized test environments.
• Performance or security testing exposure.
