Test Architect

Job Details:

We are looking for an experienced QA Solution Architect to lead and drive the organization-wide Quality Engineering strategy, ensuring scalable, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery across programs.

This role goes beyond project-level testing and focuses on:

• defining enterprise QA frameworks
• driving automation-first and AI-enabled testing practices
• influencing delivery quality and risk management
• optimizing QA cost and efficiency
• mentoring senior QA leaders and architects
• Audit existing processes and projects for QA excellence.

You will work closely with Architecture, Engineering, DevOps, Product, and Delivery leadership to institutionalize modern quality engineering practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. QA Strategy & Framework Ownership

• Define and maintain the enterprise QA framework covering test strategy, automation approach, lifecycle integration, and reporting standards.
• Drive consistent adoption of QA processes, quality gates, and governance across projects.
• Establish measurable quality indicators and reporting dashboards.

2. Automation-First & AI-enabled Testing Transformation

• Promote automation-first testing across UI, API, integration, and performance layers.
• Lead adoption of AI-enabled QA tools for test generation, intelligent test selection, and defect analytics.
• Define governance and best practices for responsible AI usage in testing.
• Track productivity gains and quality improvements from automation and AI initiatives.

3. Delivery Quality & Risk Management

• Partner with architects and delivery teams to embed quality engineering early in solution design.
• Drive shift-left testing, risk-based validation, and continuous testing practices.
• Identify quality risks across programs and define mitigation strategies.
• Improve release confidence, stability, and customer satisfaction.

4. Presales & Solutioning Support

• Contribute QA strategy and estimation during presales engagements.
• Define scalable testing approaches, automation strategy, and effort models.
• Ensure proposed solutions balance quality, cost, and timeline considerations.

5. Cost Optimization & Efficiency Improvement

• Identify opportunities to reduce QA effort through automation, tooling, and process improvements.
• Optimize regression scope, testing cycles, and environment usage.
• Measure and demonstrate ROI of quality engineering initiatives.

6. Capability Building & Mentorship

• Define QA competency expectations across roles and levels.
• Partner with L&D to build training programs and learning paths.
• Mentor QA leads and senior engineers to strengthen organizational maturity.
• Build a strong quality engineering culture across teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

Must-Have

• 12+ years in software testing / quality engineering, with 35+ years in architecture/leadership role
• Strong experience designing enterprise QA strategies and frameworks
• Deep expertise in:
• test automation frameworks
• CI/CD-integrated testing
• API/UI automation
• performance testing approaches
• Experience driving shift-left and continuous testing practices
• Hands-on exposure to modern QA tooling ecosystems
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Hands on experience on Selenium automation, JMeter, Watermelon, Testrigor, Playright

Good-to-Have

• Experience with AI-assisted testing tools
• Exposure to cloud-native architectures and microservices testing
• Experience supporting presales or solution architecture discussions
• Certifications in testing/quality (ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent)
