This role will lead our Tender and Contract Management team for Europe and IMEA regions focusing on developing strategic partnership and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the tendering process, contract negotiation, and execution. It will also play a lead role in partnering and sparring with the Platform team , Tech team Functional product owners on the Standardisation , Simplification , Automation and Digitisation journey . The role is required to work closely with Area Sales teams, Contract Pricing Managers, Landside product managers, and project teams .
Key Responsibilities:
Tender Management:
- Oversee the entire tender process, from receiving Request for Quotation (RFQ) to submission, ensuring that all RFQ’s are accurately completed, compliant with specifications, and submitted on time.
- Coordinate with various functions (Sales, CPM, IPM, etc.) to gather necessary information for competitive bids.
- Ensure that contract deliverables are met in accordance with agreed timelines and quality standards.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of tendering and contract management professionals, providing guidance, support, and training to enhance their skills and performance.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture that focuses on achieving business objectives.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Challenge status quo and drive an efficiency improvement mindset in the teams
- Create a robust talent pipeline
- Drive to develop commercial knowledge in the teams
- Be the catalyst to embrace and drive AI adoption in the teams
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Identify potential risks within tenders and contracts and develop strategies to mitigate them by collaborating with LTA and platform teams.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Stakeholder Management & Performance management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.
- Collaborate with Product, LTA, Platform and tech teams to embark on a digitization and transformation journey.
- Ensure that opportunities are submitted with in deadline and ensure that the customer get the right invoices.
5 . Partnering and Sparring with stakeholders on the Simplification , Standardisation , Automation and Digitisation Journey
- Driving to unearth all opportunities where the Simplification and Satndardisation could be implemented and hence efficiency
- Collaborate and work in tandem with workgroups involved in platform and new product roll outs .
- Be the sounding board of workgroups and correctly evaluating upsides thereby freeing up time for more value added tasks for the teams
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in tender management, contract management, or procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of tendering processes, contract law, and risk management.
- Experience with complex contracts
- Skills:
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
