Job Description

Designation: Telecom Operator

Educational Qualification:

Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, IT, or a related field from a recognized university or institute.

Certifications in telecom systems, networking, EPABX, or vendor-specific technologies will be an added advantage.

Strong technical foundation with practical exposure to corporate telecom environments.

Salary Budget: 30-40 k/m

Experience:

Minimum 5- 8years of relevant experience in telecom operations and network management.

Proven experience managing corporate telecom infrastructure and EPABX systems.

Strong exposure to vendor coordination, billing management, and cost optimization.

Experience handling multi-location telecom services and service providers is desirable.

Role Summary:

The Telecom Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all telecom operations of the organization to ensure uninterrupted connectivity and optimal system performance. The role serves as the primary point of contact with telecom service providers and is accountable for telecom infrastructure management, vendor coordination, billing control, compliance, technical support, and implementation of new telecom technologies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Telecom Operations Management

Monitor and manage telecom infrastructure to ensure continuous connectivity.

Oversee corporate telecom connections including activations, deactivations, and plan modifications.

Manage international roaming services and telecom service portals.

Coordinate technicians for line disconnections, cable faults, and device malfunctions.

Vendor & Service Provider Coordination

Act as the primary liaison with telecom service providers and telecom departments.

Handle service requests, escalations, and official communications via email and formal channels.

Ensure timely resolution of telecom issues and service disruptions.

Negotiate services and maintain long-term vendor relationships.

Network Management

Ensure optimal performance of telecom networks and systems.

Monitor network reliability, uptime, and service quality.

Plan and implement preventive maintenance and system upgrades.

Billing & Cost Control

Verify telecom bills and ensure billing accuracy.

Manage telecom budgets and control operational expenses.

Recommend cost-effective telecom solutions and plans.

Handle plan upgrades and downgrades based on organizational requirements.

Corporate Telecom Administration

Manage caller tunes, toll-free numbers, and additional telecom facilities.

Coordinate with internal departments for new telecom requirements or changes.

Support deployment of new telecom services across teams.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

Provide technical support for telecom devices and systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity and telecom-related issues promptly.

Coordinate repairs, replacements, and system maintenance activities.

Security & Compliance

Ensure telecom systems comply with organizational policies and regulatory standards.

Maintain communication security and data protection protocols.

System Upgrades & Innovation

Track emerging telecom technologies and industry trends.

Plan and implement telecom system upgrades.

Introduce innovative telecom solutions to improve operational efficiency.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain records of telecom assets, service plans, and vendor contracts.

Prepare periodic reports on telecom usage, billing, and system performance.

Document service updates, changes, and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Expertise:

Strong knowledge of telecom systems, EPABX, and network management.

Excellent vendor coordination and communication skills.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Experience in budgeting, billing verification, and cost optimization.

Ability to manage multiple telecom services simultaneously.

Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
