Reporting To: Admissions Manager / Head Admissions

Location: Whitefield, Bangalore

Job Summary

The Telecaller Admissions is responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls to prospective students and parents, providing accurate information about engineering programs, admission procedures, eligibility criteria, and fee structure. The role involves lead generation, follow-ups, counselling support, and conversion of inquiries into confirmed admissions.


Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Management & Calling

Make outbound calls to prospective students from inquiry databases.

Handle inbound admission inquiries via phone.

Follow up with students who have shown interest through website, social media, walk-ins, or education fairs.

Maintain daily call logs and update CRM/admission software.

2. Student Counselling Support

Provide detailed information about:

oEngineering programs

oSpecializations offered

oEligibility criteria and entrance exams

oFee structure and scholarship options

oHostel and campus facilities

Address queries of students and parents professionally and politely.

3. Admission Process Coordination

Guide students through the application and documentation process.

Coordinate with the admissions team for application status updates.

Schedule campus visits, counselling sessions, or meetings with academic coordinators.

Support in admission drives and enrollment campaigns.

4. Data Management & Reporting

Update student interaction details in CRM.

Track inquiry-to-admission conversion ratio.

Submit daily/weekly reports to the Admissions Manager.

Maintain confidentiality of student data.

5. Target Achievement

Achieve monthly/quarterly admission targets.

Follow up consistently to maximize conversions.

Participate in marketing campaigns and telecalling drives.


Required Skills & Competencies

Excellent verbal communication skills (English + regional language preferred)

Convincing and counselling ability

Basic knowledge of engineering education system

Good listening and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle objections and difficult conversations

Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools

Target-oriented and self-motivated


Educational Qualification

Graduate in any discipline (MBA/PG in Marketing preferred)

Prior experience in telecalling, sales, or admissions (13 years preferred)

Office-based role within campus or admissions office

May require extended hours during peak admission season
