As a Technology Support III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank Team, you will ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement as you troubleshoot, maintain, identify, escalate, and resolve production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, leading to a seamless user experience.
Job responsibilities
- Provides end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firm
- Supports the day-to-day maintenance of the firm’s systems to ensure operational stability and availability
- Assist in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools
- Identify issues for escalation and communication, and provide solutions to the business and technology stakeholders
- Analyze complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure
- Work on some of the most complex problems at the intersection of two dynamic industries: finance and technology.
- Partner closely with our clients (LoBs) to understand their needs in order to shape the support roadmap.
Interact with other high-performing teams to inspire innovation and champion change throughout the bank.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on Technology Support concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services
- Proficient in Linux administration, host performance tuning, and Unix Shell Scripting.
- Strong knowledge of Python, Bitbucket, and git source repository.
- Experience in Production management L1 Support and Postgres database.
- Understanding of ITIL, including Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
- Understanding of network load balancing and related concepts.
- Skilled in using tools such as Nagios, Grafana, Service Now, Datadog, and Splunk is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of applications or infrastructure in large-scale technology environments, both on-premises and public cloud.
- Understanding of Cloud/AWS and Jira project management tooling is required.
- Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience working with global teams in a collaborative environment.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages and/or automation scripting
- Working understanding of public cloud
Good to have triaging skills.
Additional Information:
- Will be required to work in 2 shifts covering APAC/EMEA BAU working hours.
