Summary: We are looking for an experienced VMware NSX Data Center Engineer to design, implement, and maintain network virtualization and security solutions in a modern data center environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VMware NSX-T/NSX-V, software-defined networking, and data center virtualization technologies. This role involves ensuring high availability, security, and performance of virtualized network infrastructure across enterprise environments. Roles & Responsibilities: • Manage VMware NSX solutions within enterprise data centers. • Implement network virtualization, micro-segmentation, and software-defined security policies. • Configure and maintain NSX controllers, edge services, logical switches, routers, and firewalls. • Integrate NSX with vSphere, vCenter, and other virtualization platforms. • Monitor and troubleshoot NSX network performance, connectivity, and security issues. • Collaborate with IT infrastructure, storage, and cloud teams for seamless integration. • Conduct upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management of NSX environments. • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of NSX architecture, designs, and operational procedures. • Provide technical guidance and support for NSX-related issues and escalations. Professional and Technical Skills: • Hands-on experience with VMware NSX-T / NSX-V and associated tools. • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewalls. • Experience with micro-segmentation, distributed firewall, and load balancing in NSX environments. • Familiarity with vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi host networking. • Knowledge of automation and scripting (PowerCLI, Python) for NSX management and troubleshooting. • Understanding of data center technologies, including storage, compute, and cloud integration. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Preferred Certifications: • VMware Certified Professional – Network Virtualization (VCP-NV) • VMware NSX-T Data Center Specialist / Advanced Professional (VCAP-NV) • VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Network Virtualization Deployment (VCAP-NV Deploy) • Relevant networking certifications (CCNP,) for advanced networking knowledge • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure) for hybrid cloud NSX deployments Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Network VMware - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.15 years full time education
