Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Infra. Technology Specialist with 7 to 10 years of expertise in DB2 administration Mainframe Utilities Mainframe SAS Mainframe CICS and Mainframe Work Model. The role is hybrid with day shifts and no travel requirements. The ideal candidate will manage and optimize our mainframe systems ensuring high performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
Oversee the administration and maintenance of DB2 databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for DB2-related issues to minimize downtime.Implement and manage mainframe utilities to streamline operations and enhance system efficiency.Utilize Mainframe SAS for data analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.Manage Mainframe CICS to ensure smooth transaction processing and system stability.Develop and maintain documentation for all mainframe processes and procedures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mainframe systems with other IT infrastructure.Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance overall efficiency.Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies in all mainframe operations.Conduct regular system audits and security checks to protect sensitive data.Provide training and support to junior team members to build a strong technical team.Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to keep our systems current.
Qualifications
Possess extensive experience in DB2 administration and system DBA.Demonstrate proficiency in managing mainframe utilities and optimizing their performance.Have strong skills in Mainframe SAS for effective data analysis and reporting.Show expertise in Mainframe CICS for reliable transaction processing.Exhibit knowledge of mainframe work models and hybrid work environments.Display excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.Have strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Be detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining accurate documentation.Show commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry advancements.Demonstrate the ability to train and mentor junior team members.Have experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation.Ensure adherence to compliance and security standards in all operations.Be proactive in identifying and implementing system improvements.
