Summary: As a Technology Platform Engineer, you will create production and non-production cloud environments using appropriate software tools tailored for specific projects or products. The Procedure Expert needs the skill set required to support a range of SAP systems including ABAP, Java stack, non-NetWeaver systems. The associate would be responsible to Plan / Validate / Maintain the Procedures according to the ECS standard and sometimes non-standard procedures as requested by the stakeholder Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME, understanding of ECS Architecture" is must. - Understanding Backup & Restore concepts of SAP systems on various hyperscalers like AWS, AZURE, GCP, IBM etc. - Understand the SAF Basis Team functioning and process model. - Knowledge of ECS support tools - LVM, SPC, JIRA, CRT, Customer Launch Pad, Service Now, TIC etc. - Develop a deep understanding of the Enterprise Cloud solution architecture and productization model along with the tools within 6-8 months of onboarding. - Associate should be capable of delivering the targets in Scope of work however is not limited to it solely - Know the point of contact in each team for issue resolution - Capable to independently troubleshoot, reproduce, determine the root cause for repetitive issues - Other General OPO support activities include - Handling of Run procedure automation failure with PO/SEO/SMEs - Good understanding of the service lifecycle and deep idea on the automation cycles - Basic understanding of Landscape Virtualization Manager is needed Work Experience: - Strong Basis knowledge (ABAP, JAVA, non-NetWeaver etc) with experience in Installations and migrations. - Knowledge of HANA and Linux is a must - Knowledge of various OS/DB combinations and related troubleshooting is desirable - Associate must have a very strong desire to keep up to date with technical developments in basis, DB and Server management area within ECS Delivery and SAP - Knowledge of Backup & Restore/Recovery concepts. - Knowledge of Hyperscalers like AWS, AZURE, GCP, IBM etc. - Commitment to detailed planning, documentation and quality assurance processes, especially change control, which will support the timely implementation of enhancements to the server environment whilst maintaining the highest levels of operational service - High levels of self-motivation and focus to work with the minimum of supervision and deliver against agreed targets - Strong customer service awareness to keep the customers’ requirements constantly in mind and ensure that activities align closely with these requirements Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SUSE Linux Administration. - Full SAP life-cycle experience using HANA, DB2 database (Desirable) technologies - Strong hold on SAP NetWeaver 7 or higher - Good experience on Basis, OS and DB flavours - Minimum 2 years specialist technical skill in one or more SAP areas (5+ Years recommend) - Proven SAP experience running on HANA (must), DB2 (desirable) platforms - Strong Communication skills, project management skills - Good team player Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SUSE Linux Administration. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.15 years full time education
