Technology Lead Backend

• Experience:810 years of experience in backend application development, with strong ownership of design and delivery of enterprise-scale systems.
• Qualifications: B. Tech / B.E/M. Tech /MCA
• Location: Bangalore

Mandatory Skills

• Backend Technologies: Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA
• Architecture: RESTful APIs, gRPC-based inter-service communication, microservices architecture
• Databases: PostgreSQL preferred; strong expertise in SQL-based relational databases (MySQL or equivalent)
• Caching: Distributed caching / in-memory data grids (Hazelcast or equivalent)
• Deployment & DevOps Exposure: Docker, Apache Tomcat, Nginx; CI/CD pipelines
• Logging & Monitoring: Working exposure to ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
• Security: Authentication, authorization, data protection, audit logging
• Agile / Scrum: Strong working experience in Scrum-based Agile development
• Open Source: Exposure to open-source frameworks, tools, and libraries used in backend development.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver scalable, high-availability backend systems aligned with defined architecture guidelines
• Prepare and own Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and contribute to High-Level Designs (HLDs) and API documentation
• Define detailed backend designs for modules and data flows; conduct design reviews for critical components
• Develop and review RESTful and gRPC-based backend services and service interactions
• Ensure implementation adheres to approved coding and design standards
• Ensure adequate code coverage, including new and relevant legacy backend components
• Prepare, review, and support deployment scripts, releases, and environment configurations
• Provide inputs for estimation, planning, and release execution
• Conduct design walkthroughs for development teams
• Oversee backend development and perform code reviews to ensure quality and architectural compliance
• Implement distributed caching, database optimization, and performance tuning
• Use logging and monitoring tools to analyze issues and support production environments
• Integrate backend services with external systems and third-party platforms
• Drive Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and evaluate new backend technologies, open-source tools, and utilities
• Mentor backend developers and collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams
• Ensure adherence to security, reliability, resiliency, and accessibility-related backend support requirements.
