Technical Writer

What success looks like in this role:

Writes and maintains documentation for a range of moderately complex functionality and products.

· Works on a variety of documentation types, including procedures, user manuals, installation manuals, help documents, ReadMe, Release Notes, etc.

· Edits material for structure, completeness, accuracy, organizational consistency, clarity of expression and appropriateness of content resulting in well-organized, concise documentation.

· Reviews and critically assesses content written by others outside the Technical Writing group.

· Ensures all produced documentation conforms to company documentation, brand, style and quality standards.

· Interacts with global SMEs at all levels of the business and communicates information back to the team and leadership.

· Estimates own tasks with some guidance.

· Participates in team meetings, seeks inputs, asks questions related to documentation tasks, incorporates feedback and submits documents for integration and publishing

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Bachelor’s degree in technical communication or equivalent discipline (BE/MCA/B Tech/B.Sc./B.A./M.Sc./M.A)
• Knowledge of technical writing concepts. Certification in technical documentation is preferred.
• Understanding of Product Life Cycle management in a systems engineering environment
• Knowledge of information engineering concepts
• Team Player
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical writing organization.
