About Position:

 

We are looking for a passionate and proactive Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our CloudOps team. This role is ideal for individuals early in their careers (0?4 years of experience) who want to work at the intersection of software engineering and systems operations. The successful candidate will be involved in monitoring, incident handling, database and network administration, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud-native services.

What You'll Do:

 

System Reliability & Uptime:

• Monitor production systems and infrastructure for reliability, availability, and performance.
• Define and measure SLOs/SLIs and take action to maintain error budgets.
• Participate in capacity planning, system scaling, and tuning.

Incident Handling & Response:

• Participate in on-call rotation to handle high-priority incidents.
• Investigate root causes and drive post-mortem analysis (RCA documentation).
• Build and maintain incident playbooks and operational runbooks.

Automation & Tooling:

• Automate repetitive tasks using scripting (Bash, Python) or IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

• Operate and maintain cloud environments (IKS/AWS/Azure).
• Manage resource provisioning, networking, and storage components.
• Implement cloud best practices in cost management, security, and high availability.
• Database & Network Administration
• Perform basic administration of Relational databases (IBM DB2/MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Monitor and optimize DB performance and reliability.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking issues (DNS, firewalls, routing, VPN).

Observability & Monitoring:

• Set up alerts, dashboards, and logs using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or Cloud-native tools.
• Help maintain and improve observability pipelines.

 

Expertise You'll Bring:

 

• Flexibility to work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment, including weekends.  
• Bachelor?s degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent.
• 0?4 years of experience in DevOps, CloudOps, or SRE roles.
• Foundational experience with Linux/Unix systems.
• Hands-on exposure to cloud platforms (IKS, AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Understanding of networking and databases.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications in IKS/AWS/GCP/Azure, Linux, or DevOps.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or service mesh architectures.
• Experience with incident tracking tools (ServiceNow, Jira, PagerDuty, Safesforce).
• Understanding of Git, CI/CD workflows, and observability stacks.
