Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer with 1-2 years of experience to support and drive sales activities across:
- Premier government laboratories
- Premier academic institutions
B.Tech or B.E Freshers with intern experience can also apply.
This role involves a combination of pre-sales consulting, technical demonstrations, customer relationship management, and post-sales technical coordination.
Responsibilities
- Pre-Sales & Business Development
- Qualify prospective customers and understand their simulation requirements
- Conduct technical meetings, software demonstrations, workshops, and events
- Present business cases highlighting unique Multiphysics capabilities
- Explain licensing models and assist with negotiations involving procurement and legal teams
- Support software evaluations in collaboration with Applications Engineers
- Travel periodically within India for customer meetings and sponsored events
- Post-Sales & Customer Relationship Management
- Coordinate technical support with Applications Engineers
- Maintain long-term relationships with existing customers
- Update customers on new features, technology advancements, and events
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts
Qualifications
- Bachelors or masters degree in engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Physical Sciences (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering preferred)
- Academic or practical exposure to numerical modelling and simulation (FEM/FEA, PDE/ODE-based systems)
- Minimum 1 year of sales experience (Engineering software / CAD / CAE sales preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
