Technical Project Manager

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, ensuring that project scope, timelines, risks, and quality are effectively managed. You will develop and maintain project budgets, conduct regular program status meetings, and build program presentations and reports for management and stakeholders. Your role is vital in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, mentoring less experienced colleagues, and driving continuous improvement within the team.

• Develop and manage project scope, timelines, risks, and quality management across the entire project lifecycle.
• Maintain project budgets and ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery.
• Conduct regular program status meetings with all partners, keeping needs and requirements continuously in view.
• Defines, optimizes, and manages Agile project management ceremonies and processes for large project teams.
• Build program presentations and reports for management, executives, sponsors, and partners.
• Work with resource managers for weekly or monthly allocations of project teams.
• Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced colleagues.
• Identify, plan, and coordinate related projects within a program, managing their interdependencies in support of specific business strategies.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of technical project/program management experience working with technical teams developing enterprise class solutions
• Understanding of Cloud, APIs, services, database technologies, technologist roles and responsibilities, capabilities & platform dependencies, software development lifecycle, engineering and/or product development
• Excellent ability to understand architectural and technical aspects of projects
• Experience with budget tracking, including actuals vs. forecast, submitting forecasts, and providing variance explanations.
• Adept at leading and prioritizing projects in a program and working seamlessly with distributed teams.
• Hands-on experience with Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Good interpersonal skills, communication (written and verbal), time management skills, and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Agile Application Lifecycle Management and development tools like JIRA, Confluence Wiki.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP Certification.
• Experience in the travel, retail, or consumer industry.
• Agile Certifications such as CSM, ACP, CPO, SAFe, LeSS.
• Advanced degree in a related field.
