Position Title: Technical Project Manager

Job Description:

The Technical Project Manager will play a critical role in supporting the digital production team, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring seamless pre-production testing and QA. This role is a hybrid between technical problem-solving and digital production support, requiring strong AEM knowledge, an understanding of engineering processes, and experience with digital product workflows.

The Technical Production Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, digital production, engineering, and QA, to support feature testing, functionality validation, and issue resolution before content goes live. They will also manage technical documentation, write JIRA stories for production issues, and support digital producers with troubleshooting and problem resolution.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the digital production team in troubleshooting technical issues in AEM and other content management tools, resolving problems internally where possible and escalating when necessary.
  • Oversee pre-production efforts, including feature and functionality testing, setting up QA environments, and validating new components before deployment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to provide input on technical feasibility, content authoring workflows, and production requirements for new features.
  • Write and manage JIRA stories for production-related issues, ensuring clear documentation and tracking for engineering teams.
  • Lead technical QA efforts, working with a Technical Producer to set up performance tests, validate fixes, and confirm proper implementation of new components.
  • Act as a bridge between technical and business teams, translating technical requirements into language that stakeholders can understand.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define requirements for new components and enhancements, ensuring they align with production needs.
  • Monitor production environments, identifying potential content-related technical issues and ensuring quick resolution.
  • Ensure the digital production team follows best practices for technical troubleshooting and issue escalation.
  • Document and maintain technical guidelines, providing clear instructions on resolving common production issues.


Qualifications:

  • 12-15+ years of experience as technical content lead
  • Strong knowledge of AEM (Adobe Experience Manager), including authoring, workflows, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with JIRA, including writing and managing user stories for technical issues.
  • Understanding of digital product processes, including feature development, testing, and deployment cycles.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and escalate appropriately when needed.
  • Strong QA experience, particularly in testing new features, functionality, and performance before deployment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements into business-friendly language.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams, understanding product roadmaps, and contributing to technical discussions.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying and resolving production-related challenges.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
