Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee technical planning and launching of SMT production lines for projects.
• Engineering liaison between customers and internal teams to analyze RFQs, provide DFM input, estimate requirements, and achieve quality, cost, and timeline objectives
• Manage process mapping, equipment readiness, material prep, and initial builds, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver operational lines that meet customer needs
• Lead cross-department teams for equipment, layout, materials, and production; run progress meetings
• Act as technical lead during RFQs and design, provide DFM input, feasibility checks, and build updates
• Spot risks early, apply mitigation, track milestones, and solve problems using root cause analysis
• Keep accurate engineering records and regularly update stakeholders, sharing improvements

Must-Have Skills

• Skilled in SMT assembly and PCB manufacturing, including solder paste printing, pick-and-place, reflow soldering, and AOI
• Experienced in NPI, from new line setup (equipment selection, layout, process qualification) to production readiness
• Proficient in DFX principles for manufacturability and testability feedback
• Knowledgeable in lean methods (5S, Six Sigma), supply chain basics, and electronics quality standards (IPC-A-610) and testing requirements
• Domain expertise in EMS or high-volume electronics production
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings or supplier visits as needed
• Ability to coordinate with global teams across time zones when required
