Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in technical/engineering program management.
Experience in data analysis, and working with engineering teams to define and track metrics
Experience working with global carriers and vendors in the telecommunications industry.
Experience leading programs that span multiple product areas.

Preferred qualifications:

Familiarity with networking technologies like Bluetooth, Wifi or core networking stack.
Exceptional skills influencing, teaming, and delivering solutions in a highly complex, always changing environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills and attention to detail.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the connectivity experience across the Android ecosystem. You will work with chipset vendors, carriers, device makers, and other industry leaders to launch new features and enable new technologies. You will lay out and execute on a technology road map to ensure that Google is staying ahead of the industry in innovation and cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities

Involvement in complete software development lifecycle from ideation to post-release of performance and power optimized offload capable experience providing the basis for a Better Together platform.
Seek out necessary schedule inputs and develop a solid, defensible plan for release and keep the team tracking to it. Manage change to the plan appropriately. Oversee the creation of new processes/tools to support scalability and requirements of a fast growing business with focus on highest quality and stringent market timelines.
Lead metrics and drive consistent adoption across the organization of aligning user experience, quality and testing to be data driven and measurable.
Collaborate with teams within Android and Google and closely with strategic partners to define, implement, and launch a unified solution that works across all user devices, including Android phones, wearables, tablets and ChromeOS devices
