Technical Manager

This role focuses on improving data reliability, guiding calibration and correction methodologies, evaluating performance metrics, and supporting a small technical team working on air quality data systems.

The position is suited for someone who enjoys solving real-world environmental data challenges and wants to grow into long-term technical leadership within a structured and applied industry setting.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):

Air Quality Data & Sensor Performance

• Analyze air quality sensor datasets and evaluate air quality sensor performance in various climates
• Support calibration, correction, and validation methodologies
• Investigate data inconsistencies and recommend structured improvements
• Contribute to performance benchmarking and validation studies

Technical Supervision & Process Discipline

• Guide and mentor junior team members in data analysis workflows
• Review analytical outputs and ensure documentation quality
• Support structured monitoring of deployed sensor systems

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with hardware, firmware, software, and product teams
• Translate analytical findings into practical improvements
• Contribute to the continuous enhancement of air quality monitoring systems

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Masters degree (or PhD) in Environmental Engineering, Atmospheric Science, or related fields
• 35 years of relevant experience preferred
• Strong proficiency in computing language for data analysis
• Experience working with time-series or real-world sensor datasets
• Solid understanding of statistics and performance evaluation
• Structured problem-solving mindset

Nice to have

• Exposure to air quality monitoring systems (PM, NO2, O3, CO, etc.)
• Experience with calibration studies or collocation analysis
• Familiarity with IoT-based environmental monitoring platforms
• Prior experience mentoring interns or junior analysts

Salary range up to 8 LPA based on current salary and experience.
