Position Overview
We are looking for a seasoned leader for our Axcess Platform Services team. This Technical Manager will drive the development and evolution of critical infrastructure components including Common Services, Notifications, IDaaS, and SSO solutions. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management to ensure delivery excellence across our Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade software solutions utilizing the Microsoft technology stack with a focus on Azure cloud services.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration efforts to define product requirements, design technical approaches, and successfully deliver new features
- Establish and enforce performance benchmarks, quality standards, and responsiveness metrics for all platform services.
- Implement proactive monitoring and optimization strategies to identify bottlenecks and resolve critical issues
- Champion code quality initiatives through standardization, organization improvements, and automation.
- Foster team growth and maintain technical excellence
- Stay ahead of industry trends to continuously evolve our technology stack and maintain competitive advantage

- Roadmap Delivery: Direct oversight of Platform Services roadmap execution across Common Services, Notifications, Identity as A Service, and SSO initiatives
- Stability Assurance: Essential for maintaining system resilience during high-demand tax seasons
- Team Leadership: Provides vital management structure for functional reporting, career development, and team coordination
- Technical Continuity: Ensures ongoing maintenance and evolution of core platform components that other systems depend upon
The Technical Manager position represents a critical leadership role that cannot be distributed among existing team members without significant impact to delivery timelines, system stability, and team effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing software development teams in enterprise environments
- Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure cloud services and modern development practices
- Strong technical leadership skills and experience mentoring junior developers
- Excellent communicator capable of translating complex technical concepts across departments
- Track record of successful project delivery in platform or infrastructure contexts.
