Job Description
Area(s) of responsibility
- Validate Infrastructure Provisioning: Ensure resources like EC2, VPCs, S3, RDS, etc., are provisioned as per design. Confirm tagging, naming conventions, and region-specific deployments.
- Security & Compliance Checks: Verify IAM roles, policies, and permissions. Check encryption at rest and in transit. Validate security group and NACL configurations.
- Network Connectivity Testing: Test VPC peering, Transit Gateway, VPN, and Direct Connect setups. Validate routing tables and DNS resolution.
- High Availability & Failover Testing: Simulate AZ failures and verify auto-scaling and load balancer behavior.
- Test multi-region replication (e.g., for S3, RDS).
- Monitoring & Logging Validation: Confirm CloudWatch metrics, alarms, and dashboards. Validate CloudTrail logging and AWS Config rules
