Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled tech lead to design, build, and optimize scalable data & technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in enterprise architecture, data modeling, and pipeline development, along with a strong understanding of cloud data ecosystems and enterprise data integration. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our global team to design and implement robust data solutions tailored for financial services clients.

Desired Skills and experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 3+ years in .NET/C#.
• Strong command of C# and .NET (Core / .NET 6+), including collections, generics, advanced language features, async programming, and memory management.
• Solid hands-on experience with data structures and algorithms, especially in performance-sensitive systems.
• Proven experience building low-latency, high-throughput backend services (trading, pricing, risk, messaging, or similar).
• Practical experience with Kafka, Redpanda, or similar streaming platforms (producer/consumer patterns, partitioning, offset management).
• Deep understanding of concurrency and locking techniques (threading, synchronization, lock-free programming).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals: latency, throughput, reliability, idempotency.
• Good grasp of software engineering best practices: clean code, unit/integration testing, SOLID principles, design patterns, Git-based workflows.
• Experience with FIX protocol, EMS/OMS, or trading venues is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with cloud deployment (Azure), Kubernetes/OpenShift, and observability stacks (Grafana, Azure Monitor) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of FX, equities, fixed income, or derivatives; order lifecycle, RFQ, market data, execution workflows.
• Exposure to capital markets/trading domain is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance .NET services powering low-latency trading workflows and FIX connectivity.
• Build reliable FIX adapters for trading venues, ensuring session management, mapping, and real-time monitoring.
• Implement efficient data structures and algorithms to handle large volumes of market and trade data, optimizing for latency (5ms50ms targets).
• Optimize end-to-end performance: reduce latency, profile and tune CPU/memory/GC, minimize allocations and serialization overhead.
• Build and maintain Kafka/Redpanda (or similar) streaming integrations for market data, trades, and risk events.
• Implement robust concurrency and synchronization patterns (async/await, tasks, lock-free constructs).
• Ensure system reliability and resiliency (retry strategies, circuit breakers, timeouts, back-pressure).
• Collaborate with architects, quants, and trading SMEs to translate trading domain requirements into technical designs.
• Contribute to and enforce coding standards, code reviews, testing practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Work closely with QA and DevOps to support performance testing, load testing, and production monitoring.
• Participate in the design and implementation of central management and monitoring layers (UI in React, observability via Grafana/Azure Monitor).
• Support deployment on Azure and/or on-prem Kubernetes/OpenShift, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
• Engage in governance and agile processes (standups, reviews, audits) as part of a cross-functional POD.
