Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-onTechnical Lead PHP Laravelwith 12+ years of experience in software development, architecture design, and team leadership. The ideal candidate should be a strong coder with deep expertise in PHP and Laravel framework, capable of leading a team, driving technical decisions, ensuring code quality, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.

This role requires a balance of hands-on development and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers.
• Define and drive architecture, design standards, and best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality coding standards.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders.

Development & Architecture

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Implement caching strategies, queues, and background job processing.

Project & Process Management

• Estimate project timelines and resource requirements.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning.
• Ensure timely delivery of milestones.
• Improve development processes and CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in PHP development with minimum 6+ years of strong hands-on experience in Laravel framework.
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture, OOP concepts, and system design for scalable and high-performance applications.
• Expertise in MySQL/PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and third-party integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Git, version control systems, caching tools (Redis/Memcached), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms and DevOps practices.
• Experience with microservices architecture, Docker/Kubernetes, and frontend frameworks like Vue.js or React is a plus.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience handling large-scale production systems.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills with an ownership mindset.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire development teams in a fast-paced environment.
