Technical Lead, Engineering - Genomics SaaS

My client is a fast-growing life sciences and digital health company, founded in 2023 with a mission to accelerate the discovery, development, and delivery of actionable insights.

We are seeking a Technical Lead to guide the design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure software systems. You will lead a team of engineers, participate in architectural decisions, ensure code quality, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-performance products.

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on leadership in software design, development, code review, optimization, and troubleshooting
• Develop scalable, secure microservices using Java, Python, REST APIs, and related frameworks
• Participate in architecture planning, define coding standards, and establish best practices
• Oversee application integration and ensure seamless data flow
• Collaborate with product, UX, data, and leadership teams to align technical goals with business strategy
• Mentor and support engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Expert in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture
• Experience with cloud technologies, SQL/NoSQL databases, and modern CI/CD workflows
• 8+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years in a technical leadership role
• Strong communication skills and experience working across technical and non-technical teams
• Experience in regulated environments or life sciences/healthcare is a plus
