Data Factory Lead

As the Data Factory Lead, you will serve as the primary point of contact for Johnson Controls (JCI) Business and IT teams regarding Enterprise Data Migration demands for the Oracle Fusion or other ERP deployments.

In this role, you will be responsible for the intake, planning, and delivery coordination of data migration demand, as well as serving as both the Technical Delivery Lead and Scrum Master.

To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with both technical and non-technical team members. Additionally, you must have strong project and people management skills and be able to effectively drive work through a matrix project organization.

Principal Duties:

• Using waterfall and agile methodologies to plan and deliver projects for the Factory
• Designing, developing, and managing complex technical project plans, tracking and providing status
• Defining work plans, capacity planning, and effectively utilizing team resources
• Working with data architects, developers, project delivery leads, data leads, analysts, stewards, ERP solution architects, technical, and functional consultants on multi-site, concurrent deployments
• Establishing Factory delivery governance across teams within JCI and partners
• Having in-depth understanding of DM tools Informatica, Azure Data Pipeline, and various source and target systems such as Oracle 11i, Baan, iScala, Oracle Fusion, Oracle CDQ, ServiceMax, and Oracle Field Service
• Contributing to defining and enhancing data development and testing processes
• Communicating technology issues, plans, and solutions from both a business and technical perspective, and providing pros and cons for recommended solutions
• Developing and modifying DM technical strategies, leading problem resolution, and documenting issues and resolutions
• Managing SLAs and consistently achieving pre-defined metrics for projects and problem resolutions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science / MIS / Engineering from an accredited university
• At least 12+ years IT experience, with strong experience in data migration tools, technologies solution design, documentation and training
• Minimum 5 years of experience in roles such as Delivery Lead, Delivery Coordinator, Scrum Master, Technical Project Manager on data migration, data quality projects with tools such as Informatica (preferred), Talend, Bods, IDSS
• Experience with below or similar technologies:
  • Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud and Master Data Management applications, ETL tools and processes
  • Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Pipelines
  • Oracle Fusion Cloud or other ERP data migrations
• Strong oral and written English language skills.
• Good Understanding of the business processes.
