Technical Lead - AI/ML

Key Responsibilities

• Technology Leadership & Architecture
• Define the technical architecture for the AI product and supporting systems.
• Make key decisions on tech stack, cloud infrastructure, security, scalability, and integration patterns.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Ensure best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps.
• Hands-on Development
• Develop core backend/frontend modules of the product.
• Build and integrate AI/ML components with APIs, data pipelines, and production workflows.
• Perform code reviews, implement quality standards, and ensure robust documentation.
• AI & Data Engineering
• Collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists (internal or external partners).
• Implement model integrations, vector databases, embedding pipelines, and agent workflows.
• Oversee data ingestion, data cleaning, data governance, and storage infrastructure.

Required Skills & Experience

• 710 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 23 years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong expertise in backend development (Node.js, Python, Java, or similar).
• Experience with AI/ML technologies:
• LLMs, embeddings, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma)
• Model integration (OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama, etc.)
• Prompt engineering and agent frameworks
• Experience in frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) is a plus.
• Solid cloud experience with AWS / Azure.
• Strong understanding of DevOps pipelines, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD.
• Experience building scalable SaaS products.
• Ability to work independently in an environment without an existing IT structure.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and ownership mindset.
