Job Description
Responsibilities
• A Network and Voice Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining voice communication systems and networks within an organization.
• Designing Voice Networks: Planning and designing voice over IP (VoIP) and traditional voice networks to meet the organization's communication needs.
• Implementation: Installing, configuring, and deploying voice communication hardware and software, including PBX systems, VoIP gateways, and SIP trunks.
• Network Optimization: Monitoring and optimizing voice network performance to ensure high call quality, minimal downtime, and efficient resource usage.
• Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving voice communication issues, such as call quality problems, connectivity disruptions, or hardware failures.
• Security: Implementing security measures to protect voice communication systems from threats like eavesdropping or unauthorized access.
• Upgrades and Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance, updates, and upgrades to keep voice systems up-to-date and secure.
• Documentation: Maintaining detailed records, diagrams, and documentation of voice network configurations and changes.
• Collaboration: Working closely with other IT and network professionals to ensure seamless integration of voice systems with other technologies.
• Vendor Management: Coordinating with vendors for equipment procurement, support, and troubleshooting assistance..
