Job Description
Responsibilities
:• Manage, support, and maintain Linux installed systems.
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve server and network issues.
• Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements.
• Create and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures.
• Work with team members to design and implement new solutions.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups and updates.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
• Install, upgrade, migrate and maintain Linux based systems.
• Ensure security of systems and data
• Manage system backups, restore, and recovery.
• Manage and maintain printers and scanners.
• Manage user accounts, groups, and services.
• Manage and maintain storage.
• Work with users to resolve account/system issues.
Minimum Qualifications
/ Skills• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• Good years of experience administering Linux (OEL) (boot process, file systems, network device and protocol configuration, updates, and patches)
• Experienced in understanding and remediating security threats.
Preferred Qualifications
/ Skills• Very good written and presentation / verbal communication skills with experience of customer interfacing role. In-depth requirement understanding skills with good analytical and problem-solving ability, interpersonal efficiency, and positive attitude.
• Knowledge with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Knowledge with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Certifications in Linux and/or VMWare
