JOB DESCRIPTION-Senior Azure Cloud SME – Terraform & DevOps Specialist Experience Level: 8 - 12 years in Cloud & Infrastructure Certifications Preferred: • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert • Hashi Corp Certified: Terraform Associate Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure Cloud Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in Azure Landing Zones, Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, deployment, automation, and optimization of secure and scalable cloud environments, with a strong focus on network architecture, governance, migration strategy, and cloud-native IaaS services. Key Responsibilities • Design and deploy Azure Landing Zones in alignment with Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework (WAF). • Lead and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision and manage Azure resources across multiple environments. • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Azure DevOps pipelines for automated infrastructure deployments and application CI/CD workflows. • Architect and implement robust Azure networking solutions including VNETs, VNET peering, VPN, ExpressRoute, NSGs, ASGs, Azure Firewall, and Application Gateway. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, and operational excellence. • Provide technical leadership and guidance during customer engagements, architecture reviews, and hands-on implementation. • Ensure high levels of security, compliance, cost optimization, and operational efficiency in cloud designs. • Participate in cloud governance policy setup, subscription and management group structure, RBAC design, and monitoring strategies. • Troubleshoot complex deployment and infrastructure issues in pre-prod and prod environments. • Prepare and present technical documentation, solution design, and operational runbooks.Required Skills & Qualifications • 8+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5 years in Azure cloud platforms. • Deep hands-on expertise in designing and deploying Azure Landing Zones. • Strong experience with Terraform (HCL) and modularized code for enterprise-scale deployments. • Proficiency in Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts) and pipeline-as-code (YAML) development and troubleshooting. • Solid understanding of core Azure IaaS services: Compute (VMs, VMSS), Storage, Networking, Identity, Load Balancing. • Expertise in Azure Networking: hybrid connectivity, routing, firewalls, DNS, and private endpoints. • Experience in planning and executing on-prem to Azure migrations using tools such as Azure Migrate. • Knowledge of Git, scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and integration with DevOps tools and APIs. • Familiarity with monitoring and management tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Sentinel. • Experience with RBAC, managed identities, policy-based governance, and cost management. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment. Nice to Have • Knowledge of Kubernetes (AKS) and containerized application lifecycle management. • Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP) and hybrid cloud solutions. • Prior experience working in agile teams and using tools like Jira or ServiceNow. • Experience building Self-Service Catalogs or automation workflows for cloud provisioning. Education & Certifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • Mandatory or Preferred Certifications: o Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert o Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate o Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert o HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
