Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge of technologies within LSEG and how they relate to various parts of the business.
- Develops tools and applications by producing clean and efficient code, review others' code when required.
- Handles own workload and promotes an inclusive and open culture

- Interacts with BA’s, Architects, Reliability engineers for building scalable and resilient tools and software which solves the day to day business requirements.
- Develops knowledge and expertise in software development and develops knowledge of other domains to understand linkages and dependencies.
- Leads design work and planning for task
- Develops understanding of strategy and culture, and how they impact own work.
- Completes the delivery of given tasks and also mentorship of team members.
- Builds positive relationships with team and colleagues, collaborating closely with team. Communicates with transparency and precision in a concise format.
- Takes initiative to develop knowledge in technology products and tools through on the job learning, certifications and projects

Qualifications & Experience:
- Professional qualification or equivalent
- Proven understanding of .Net C# programming language and .Net ecosystem.
- Good knowledge of design patterns
- Good experience in a Software development and delivery role

- Good experience in high level and low-level design

Essential Skills/Experience Required:

• Years of Experience – more than 8 years

• Experienced software engineer with excellent knowledge of the .Net ecosystem, C# language, Web services (REST and SOAP), Windows services, Web applications, WCF, Asp.net, Model View Controller.

• Experience with Azure, AWS

• Experience with Test Driven Development and / or Behaviour Driven Development

• Experience with Inversion of control and dependency injection

• Experience in writing quality code with proper unit test coverage ( NUnit, MSTest)

• Proven grasp of object-oriented programming.

• Proven grasp of various design patterns.

• Experienced in a formal agile software development lifecycle and practices

• Familiar with continuous build and integration (in DX1)

• Familiar with Elastic Search

• Self-starter - does what it takes to get the job done

• Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written

• Skill for writing clean, readable code and reusable components

• Proficient using source code management tools such as Git or GitHub
