Job Description
Job Purpose
- Preparation of Registration-wise Financials and ensuring compliance with relevant provisions / guidelines.
- Preparation / compilation of periodic financial data including data required for GST.
- Process Improvement and keep oversight on GST and other GLs
- Performing / reviewing reconciliation and building utility / analytic tools for the same.
- On-going review of Trial Balance and ensuring critical health checks on Trial Balance.
- Assist in Financial Reporting & Audit activities.

Actionable (4-6)
Preparation of Registration-wise Financials and ensuring compliance with relevant provisions / guidelines.
- Preparing GST registration-wise Financial (presently 128 GSTNs).
- To check correctness of GSTN registration-wise Trial balance.
- To check GSTN Registration wise trial balance tallies with overall India Trail Balance.
- Checking GSTN registration wise financial tallies with the GST Returns data.
- Checking aggregated data with Audited Annual Accounts.
- Validating and documenting any Adjustment entries posted in financial.
Preparation / compilation of periodic financial data including data required for GST Returns.
- Preparing at summary-level and at GL-level GST Registration-wise income data every month and sharing same with GST ops team for GST return purpose and with Cost team for Inter branch entry.
- To check data tallies with the financial for the month.
- Analysis of any adverse movement in comparison with previous months.
Process Improvement and keep oversight on GST and other GLs
- Monitoring of GST GL balance on Periodic basis.
- To open new GLs wherever required.
- Check Proforma accounting entries related to GST.
- Assisting in any system development related to GST.
Reconciliation and building utility / analytic tools for the same.
- Obtaining Reconciliation of GST GLs and Income GLs as per Trial Balance and GST System done by concerned teams.
- Follow up for any discrepancies for compliance.
- Update / maintain GST Income Master.
On-going review of Trial Balance and ensuring critical health checks on Trial Balance.
- Perform checks such as CGST=SGST+UTGST
- Check for adverse balances in GST asset and liability GLs.
- Perform check on Inter branch income & Inter branch expense GL.
- Review of new income / expense / Asset GL opened with respect to GST.
- Updating Income master on monthly basis wrt application through which GST will be reported for new GLs opened.
- To review whether ITC is claimed on all eligible Expense.
Assist in Financial Reporting & Audit activities
- Obtaining GST related provision entry from various Operations division and validating the entry passed based on the working. Follow up for any discrepancies found and getting same resolved/rectified.
- Documenting evidence of audit purpose.
Educational Qualifications
Key Skills
Chartered accountant and Bachelor of commerce
- Experience in financial reporting
- Excellent oral & written communication and presentation skills
- Experience of System implementation / Analytic tools is preferable
- Good working knowledge of accounting norms and MS Office
- Basic Knowledge of GST Laws and rules
Experience Required
- Minimum experience in years 3 to 5 years
- Strong Preference to Banking work experience in Finance field
Major Stakeholders (intra team and cross functional stakeholders, who would need to be interacted with for discharging duties)
- Internal: Various Operation & BTG Teams, Cost Team, Tax Team.
- External: GST Consultant, GST Auditors, Statutory/Internal Audit teams.
