Job Description
Job Purpose :
•To Ensure the Foundry core process Quality and to reduce core rejection by variation control
•To reduce core related casting Rejection in foundry and machining(sub surface defect)
Main Accountability:
Reduce Overall Casting rejection due to MMS (rejection Target MMS – 1.6%)
•To Maintain casting rejection related Core Shop less than 1.5%
•Maintain Customer end casting rejection related Core Shop rejection less than 1.0%
•Root cause analysis of Core Related defects and made a PDCA frame process.
•High Priorities of critical jobs for rejection reduction.
Quality Assurance on Process Quality.
•Developing and implementing Quality management system and process to ensure product quality from development through production
•Ensuring Compliance with industry standard and regulation for core process control
•Conducting internal audit (Digital tab audit), Process review, Risk assessment to identify area for improvement of product and process
•Creating and maintaining quality manuals, Procedure, and reports
•Maintain the process related documentation and give customer action plan in 8D format.
•To conduct the weekly review meeting to the Core Shop Respective Executive and associates
•Process Improvement by lean six sigma methodology.
•Process monitoring through control chart for improve the process capability of CTQ parameters.
•To actively participate in the Tooling review meeting and share my input for rejection reduction
Quality Assurance on product Quality.
•Performing the routine inspection and test on raw materials (Core Sand, Amine, Hardner & Paint) in process materials, and finished products to ensure they meet specification.
•Analyzing the test results and identifying trends or issue that need addressing for rejection reduction
•Investigating defects or quality issues, determining root cause and implementing corrective action
•Ensuring the product comply with the quality standard and specification before they reach the customer
•Maintaining accurate records of inspection, tests, non-conformance and deviations in Core Shop
New Product Development.
•To actively participating in New product development meeting and share my inputs for product development through process
•Implementing the various process ideas for new product development
•Actively participating in customer and Advance product quality planning meeting
Cost and EHS.
•Reduce Near Miss & 1st aid cases by 50% by achieving the target of 0 causes
•Adherence of IATF System and EMS System in quality target – 0
•Cost reduction drive based on process improvements through APS & BPS Project approach
•Maintain 5s in workplace
