About Priority Sector Lending Horizontal Team:

RBI prescribes that 40% of the bank wide advances should be given to priority sectors. This is a crucial aspect of banking and is monitored closely by the regulators and the senior management of the Bank. The PSL Horizontal Team is a bank-wide PSL focussed team. This team focuses on multiple aspects of PSL such as business development, PSL certificates trading strategy, process and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • The job will involve working in the PSL Horizontal team with following key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement overall strategy for the SHG Assets business.

  • Achieve disbursement, portfolio outstanding and fee income targets.

  • Expand SHG Assets portfolio into new geographies and customer segments.

  • Build strategic partnerships with NGOs, Corporate BCs and community based organizations for overall reach to SHGs

  • Credit and Portfolio Management- drive credit underwriting policies balancing growth and asset quality.

  • Monitor portfolio quality (PAR, NPA, Write- off ratios) and take corrective actions.

  • Implement early warning systems and collection strategies.

  • Ensure credit risk is managed in line with the banks risk appetite framework.

  • Set performance KPIs, monitor productivity. 

  • Ensure strict adherence to RBI regulations on priority sector lending and SHG guidelines.

  • Maintain strong governance practices, including credit audits and internal controls.

  • Prepare for regulatory and statutory inspections.

  • Working on regular reviews with business teams and senior management.

  • Consolidate product process and compliance policies

  • Perform various checks and audits for accurate reporting to regulatory agencies

Job Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of rural communities, SHGs, and how to introduce new technologies in these contexts.         

  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in SHG development, business models and market driven solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage partnerships with NGOs, market players and government bodies.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

  • Develop detailed program plans, including budgeting and resource allocation.

  • Identify, assess, and formalise implementation partnerships with government agenices and business consultants as needed.

  • Comfort with data collection, lead tracking tools, and reporting formats.

  • Ensure the program achieves measurable impact and adheres to timelines and goals.

  • Prepare and submit timely and comprehensive reports to the senior management.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams in a co-ordinated and co-operative manner.

  • Ability to create complex financial models on Excel.

  • Candidate should have good presentation & communication skills, and ability to work with limited timelines.

  • Ability to think and grasp regulations, understand nuances and come up with solutions.
