Role Overview:

We are looking for a Team Manager to lead logistics operations for book distribution. The role involves managing teams, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders, and ensuring smooth dispatch and delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership

• Manage and supervise logistics coordinators and operations staff.
• Allocate tasks, monitor team productivity, and ensure operational targets are met.
• Conduct training and performance reviews for team members.

Vendor Management

• Manage relationships with stakeholders globally, identifying gaps in the requirement.
• Monitor vendor performance based on delivery timelines, cost efficiency, and service quality.
• Resolve shipment delays, damages, or logistics escalations.

Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with publishers, distributors, warehouse teams, and retail partners.
• Ensure smooth communication between scanning teams, warehouse, and logistics teams.
• Provide regular operational updates and reports to management.
• Handle escalations related to delivery timelines or stock movement.

Logistics & Distribution Operations

• Oversee dispatch, transportation planning, and last-mile delivery of books.
• Monitor inventory movement between warehouses, distributors, and retail outlets.
• Ensure accurate documentation for shipments and returns.
• Manage reverse logistics for unsold or damaged books.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain, preferably in books/publishing distribution.
• Strong experience in vendor and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable with night shift and work-from-office environment.
