Team Leader, UX Researcher

General Summary:

The Team Leader of UX Researcher is responsible for mentoring entry level and experienced UX Researcher in a fast-paced SaaS/Agile environment to create a best-in-class user experience for our ConnectWise suite of web applications. This role works in partnership with cross-functional teams and will contribute to the overall success of product development efforts by advocating for the user and ensuring that their perspectives are incorporated throughout the design process.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Sets day to day operational objectives for the UX Research team

Supervises support and/or professional level colleagues

Ensures policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders

Leads and prioritizes the daily activities of the team

Manages, mentors, and coaches to develop a collaborative and dynamic team of UX Research

Coordinates cross-functional communication to align on initiatives and strategies to drive efficiency

Guides the product teams to understand our partners and their needs through market analysis, customer research, and feedback

Provides support to the Product Management teams, with a high attention to detail

Researches, analyzes, and documents findings

May coach and review the work of other team members

Conducts user research studies using various qualitative and quantitative research methods, such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis

Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and engineers, to gather requirements and understand project objectives

Plans and executes research initiatives, including defining research goals, developing research plans, and determining appropriate methodologies

Recruits participants for research studies and coordinate schedules for interviews and usability testing sessions

Collects and analyzes user data, translating findings into actionable insights that inform product design decisions

Creates research reports and presentations, effectively communicating research findings and recommendations to stakeholders

Collaborates with designers to create prototypes and conduct iterative usability testing to validate design decisions

Stays up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX research methodologies

Advocates for the user throughout the product development process, ensuring that user needs and preferences are considered and incorporated into design decisions

Supports the development and maintenance of research documentation, including research protocols and participant profiles

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey research findings and recommendations

Detail-oriented approach, ensuring accuracy and completeness in research documentation and data collection

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent business experience

7+ years of relevant experience

Preferred: experience conducting user research studies using qualitative and/or quantitative research methods, including user interviews and usability tests
