Team Leader Strain Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of scientists and associates in microbial strain development projects.
• Design, construct, and optimize microbial strains for improved production of target molecules.
• Apply advanced molecular biology techniques for genome engineering and pathway optimization.
• Develop strategies to enhance metabolic flux for improved yield and productivity.
• Utilize transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics data to identify bottlenecks and guide strain improvement.
• Work closely with protein engineering and downstream processing teams to achieve project goals.

Qualification :

Ph.D. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or related field from a reputed University with excellent academic credentials, and peer-reviewed papers/ patents.

Experience:

• Ph.D. with 6-8 yrs. of industrial experience with 2yrs. as team leader.
• Expertise in CRISPR/Cas systems, metabolic pathway optimization, and omics-based analysis.
• Familiarity with yeast strain engineering.
• Knowledge of bioinformatics tools for genome analysis and pathway optimization.
• Experience with project management and IBSC will be an added advantage.
