Work Arrangement- Client Location, on-site
Travel arrangement: Pan-India with travel as required.

>>About the Digital Government Advisory Team
KPMG Indias Digital Government Advisory (DGA) practice helps government bodies modernize public services through technology. It offers strategic consulting, digital architecture, and sector-specific solutions across areas like transport, water, justice, and finance. The team enables large-scale e-Governance, data analytics, and automation to improve efficiency and citizen experience.
>> About the role
The Team Leader will be responsible for managing digital transformation programs, advising government stakeholders, and ensuring successful delivery of technology-driven projects. The role requires a blend of domain expertise, leadership skills, and technical understanding to drive impactful outcomes in the public sector.
>>Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Delivery
- Lead eGovernance consulting engagements including As-Is assessment , To-Be design , DPR creation , and RFP preparation .
- Oversee bid process management, vendor evaluation, and contract governance.
- Manage project execution, timelines, risks, and quality using project monitoring tools .
Technical Advisory
- Provide advisory on ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and emerging technologies such as AI/ML, GIS, IoT , and enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Evaluate IT infrastructure including cloud platforms, cybersecurity considerations, and data centre technologies.
- Assist government departments in developing technology roadmaps and solution architecture.
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
- Coordinate with senior government officials, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Conduct presentations, workshops, and consultations with client stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide project teams; ensure delivery excellence.
>>Education:
- BE/BTech/MCA/MCS from a recognized institution. MBA (preferred), ideally from a reputed institute.
>>Experience:
- 1015 years in eGovernance, IT consulting, or technology advisory roles within the government sector.
- Experience from Big 4 or similar consulting firms
- Proven expertise in DPR creation, RFP design, bid management, digital transformation, and IT modernization projects.
- Exposure to ERP systems, emerging tech (AI/ML, GIS), enterprise architecture, and cloud technologies.
>>Preferred Certifications:
- PMP / PRINCE2 (Project Management).
- TOGAF (Enterprise Architecture).
- ITIL (IT Service Management).
- Cloud certifications such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Certifications in AI/ML, Data Analytics, or GIS technologies (added advantage).
