Job Description Senior Counsellor (Overseas Education)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Senior Counsellor to guide students through the complete process of overseas educationfrom course selection to visa documentation. The ideal candidate should have strong counselling skills, in-depth knowledge of international education systems, and the ability to convert inquiries into admissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel students on study options in countries such as the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Europe, etc.
• Understand student profiles and recommend suitable courses, universities, and destinations.
• Handle end-to-end admission processes including applications, documentation, and follow-ups.
• Guide students on visa requirements, deadlines, tests (IELTS/PTE), SOPs, and financial documentation.
• Conduct regular follow-up calls, manage walk-ins, and ensure high conversion rates.
• Maintain updated knowledge of university requirements, scholarship options, and application policies.
• Participate in education fairs, events, and promotional campaigns.
• Train and mentor junior counsellors when required.

Requirements

• Minimum 25 years experience as an Overseas Education Counsellor.
• Strong knowledge of international education systems and university admissions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet targets and handle multiple applications efficiently.
• Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools.
• Graduation mandatory; additional certifications in counselling/education are an added advantage.
