Job Title: Senior Accountant Payroll

Experience: 37 Years

Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant Payroll to manage end-to-end payroll operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with financial reporting requirements. The role involves payroll accounting, general ledger reconciliation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting support. The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, hands-on ERP experience (preferably SAP), and the ability to supervise payroll processes and coordinate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll execution.


Qualifications

CA Inter / CMA / MCom / MBA (Finance)

Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant payroll accounting or payroll operations experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing ensuring accuracy and timely execution
  • Review and validate payroll inputs including attendance, overtime, deductions, benefits, and allowances
  • Process final settlements, leave encashments, bonuses, and other employee payouts
  • Prepare payroll journal entries and post them to the General Ledger
  • Perform payroll-related GL reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities related to payroll accounts
  • Prepare and analyze payroll reports for management review
  • Ensure compliance with statutory payroll regulations including taxes, social security, pensions, and other legal requirements
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide payroll documentation as required
  • Maintain payroll records ensuring strict confidentiality and data integrity
  • Implement and monitor internal payroll controls and financial policies
  • Manage payroll processing through ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
