Position Overview:
Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled and experienced Tealium Administrator to join our Global Marketing IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our Tealium platform, ensuring seamless integration, efficient tag management, and compliance with cookie regulations. If you have a strong background in Tealium, cookie management, and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the implementation and configuration of Tealium (including Tealium iQ Tag Management, EventStream, and DataAccess).
2. Manage tag deployments, updates, and optimizations to ensure the efficient operation of Tealium's various components.
3. Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and ensure the Tealium platform is fully integrated with other marketing and analytics systems.
4. Ensure that all cookies deployed via Tealium comply with local and international privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
5. Develop and implement cookie consent management solutions, ensuring compliance with user preferences and regulations.
6. Monitor and update cookie policies and consent banners as needed to maintain compliance.
7. Administer the integration of data sources, ensuring proper data flow into Tealium's EventStream.
8. Work with stakeholders to set up and manage data points, triggers, and actions across various user touchpoints.
9. Ensure accurate event tracking and reporting in Tealium and associated systems (such as analytics platforms).
10. Diagnose and resolve any issues related to Tealium integrations, tags, or cookies.
11. Continuously monitor system performance and recommend optimizations for better speed, compliance, and functionality.
12. Work closely with the marketing, analytics, and development teams to ensure successful Tealium usage.
13. Train internal stakeholders on Tealium best practices, cookie compliance, and tag management.
14. Support the development of internal documentation for Tealium-related workflows, processes, and configurations.
Qualifications:
1. Candidates should have over five years of practical experience working as a Tealium Administrator, with a focus on Tealium iQ Tag Management for managing and deploying tags efficiently. Experience with EventStream indicates proficiency in real-time event data collection
and management, while familiarity with DataAccess highlights the ability to facilitate data access and utilization across various platforms.
2. A solid understanding of privacy management tools, particularly TrustArc, is essential. This includes knowledge of how these platforms help organizations comply with data privacy regulations, manage user consent, and conduct privacy impact assessments. Familiarity with similar tools demonstrates a broader awareness of the privacy landscape.
3. Candidates should have hands-on experience with data privacy compliance solutions, which may include implementing and managing systems that ensure adherence to regulations like GDPR and CCPA. This experience is crucial for understanding the requirements and challenges organizations face in maintaining compliance with global privacy standards.
4. A deep knowledge of web analytics tools and digital marketing technologies is critical for leveraging data to drive marketing strategies. This includes understanding how to collect, analyze, and interpret web data to optimize marketing campaigns, improve user experiences, and inform decision-making processes.
5. Candidates must possess a comprehensive understanding of cookie management practices and the complexities surrounding cookie compliance. This includes knowledge of legal requirements related to user consent for cookie usage and how to implement compliance measures to meet regulations like GDPR and CCPA.
6. Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is necessary for implementing and customizing tags within the Tealium platform. This technical skill enables the administrator to modify existing tags, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that data collection is accurately executed according to the organization’s needs.
7. Experience with data integrations and APIs is crucial for connecting Tealium with other data sources and platforms. The ability to troubleshoot challenges that arise during these integrations ensures that data flows seamlessly and accurately throughout the organization’s technology stack.
8. Candidates should have practical experience working with popular analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics, particularly in integrating these tools with Tealium.
