Position Title: Tax Manager - US International
Job Description :
- Strong knowledge of US federal income tax and US GAAP, including international tax provisions (ASC 740)
- Experience working in a multinational corporate environment
- Experience may be gained in an in-house MNC tax team and/or Big 4 with significant in-house exposure
Technical Expertise
- Hands-on experience in preparation and/or review of:
- GILTI calculations , including tested income/loss, QBAI, high-tax exception, and FTC limitation
- Forms 5471 for CFCs, including Schedules E, H, I, J, M, and P
- Foreign tax packages , including E&P, taxes paid/accrued, and US tax adjustments
- Strong understanding of foreign tax credits (FTC) and interaction with GILTI
- Experience in reviewing intercompany (IC) transactions , including:
- Cross-border services, royalties, cost recharges, cost allocations, and goods transactions
- Alignment with transfer pricing policies, intercompany agreements, and statutory results
- Exposure to ASC 740 international tax provisions, including GILTI impact on ETR
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and oversee US international tax workpapers supporting the US federal income tax return
- Review and validate foreign tax packages from global subsidiaries and branches
- Monitor and review IC transactions to ensure compliance with tax, transfer pricing, and internal policies
- Coordinate with Tax head and global finance, controllership, shared service centers, and regional tax teams for data collection and issue resolution
- Support quarterly and annual tax provision processes, including international components
- Assist in US tax audits, internal audits, and information requests related to international tax matters
- Identify process improvements, data gaps, and potential international tax risks
Leadership & Ownership (Scope Depending on Level)
- Execute day-to-day international tax compliance and review activities
- Support senior leadership in technical analysis and process improvements
- Lead US international tax compliance and reporting processes end-to-end
- Act as primary internal reviewer for complex GILTI, Form 5471, and foreign tax package matters
- Establish standards, controls, and timelines for global tax data collection
- Partner with finance and legal leadership on cross-border operational and structural tax matters
- Mentor and develop team members within the in-house tax function
Work experience:
- Manager: Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in US international tax.
Educational Qualification:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), United States and Chartered Accountant (CA), India
