Role Overview

We are seeking a Deputy Manager to join a Financial Services Tax practice. This role is ideal for professionals who excel in client delivery, possess strong technical expertise in U.S. partnership taxation, and are comfortable leading small teams while collaborating with global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate across all stages of tax engagements, from planning through finalization.
• Manage and mentor 12 team members within the assigned cluster.
• Review U.S. partnership tax returns (Form 1065) and related supporting workpapers in accordance with U.S. tax regulations.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure service quality, and support change initiatives.
• Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness of team deliverables.
• Serve as the first point of escalation for technical queries from staff and senior team members.
• Identify, understand, and manage engagement-level risk.
• Supervise, train, and mentor team members during engagements.
• Support Managers and Senior Managers in client delivery and team management activities.
• Assess staff performance and contribute to engagement-based evaluations.
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the tax function.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in U.S. and/or global taxation.
• Strong knowledge of partnership tax compliance and financial services structures.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, CA, or Enrolled Agent qualification.
• Experience working directly with clients and/or global teams.
• Prior experience supporting financial services clients (e.g., Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Venture Capital).
