Job Description:

We are seeking a Tax Accountant with 45 years of hands-on experience in individual and business tax preparation/review. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of tax regulations, be proficient in QuickBooks and ProSeries , and be comfortable managing multiple client engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and LLCs
• Conduct tax planning and research for clients across various industries
• Review general ledger accounts using QuickBooks
• Organize and analyze financial data to ensure accurate tax filings
• Communicate with clients regarding tax notices, planning strategies, and bookkeeping needs
• Stay up to date with the latest tax laws and industry practices
• Support team members during peak seasons to meet deadlines

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field (CPA or EA preferred but not required)
• 45 years of experience in public accounting or tax practice
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Intuit ProSeries is a plus
• Strong knowledge of tax laws, forms, and regulations
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
