Passion Farms is a THCA wholesale distribution company headquartered in Houston, Texas, with licensed cannabis cultivation assets in Oklahoma and California. We are a multi-entity operation growing toward institutional investment and we need our financials to reflect that.

About the Role

We are hiring a tax accountant to handle two things: clean up the last two years of business and personal tax filings, and manage ongoing tax compliance going forward.

You will work directly alongside our current CPA. This is a collaborative engagement not a replacement.

Responsibilities

Review and reconcile business financials across the last two fiscal years

Identify and resolve discrepancies in historical accounting records

Assist in preparation and review of U.S. business and personal tax filings

Coordinate with our existing CPA for continuity

Support ongoing compliance and investor-ready financial reporting

Flag and advise on cannabis-specific tax exposure including IRC 280E and COGS structuring

Requirements

CA, CPA, or equivalent with demonstrated U.S. tax and accounting knowledge

Experience with multi-entity U.S. business structures

Cannabis industry accounting experience strongly preferred IRC 280E familiarity is a baseline

QuickBooks proficiency

Strong documentation and communication habits

Available during U.S. Central Time hours

Own laptop and stable internet connection

Someone who finds problems before they become emergencies, communicates clearly, and follows through. This is a high-trust role with direct founder access. We need someone who takes ownership, not someone who waits to be directed.

Compensation is serious for the right person. Initial cleanup engagement with a path to ongoing retainer.
