Role Overview

The Head Talent Acquisition will be responsible for developing and executing the organizations talent strategy to support business expansion, plant operations, sales network growth, and corporate functions across regions. The role will lead large-scale hiring across manufacturing plants, projects, R&D, technical services, sales & distribution, and corporate functions.

This position will drive workforce planning, employer branding, leadership hiring, succession pipeline development, and digital recruitment transformation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Talent Strategy & Workforce Planning

  • Develop long-term manpower strategy aligned with business growth plans.
  • Partner with Business Heads, Plant Heads, and Sales Leadership to forecast hiring needs.
  • Build annual and quarterly hiring roadmaps for manufacturing, projects, and commercial functions.
  • Design campus, lateral, and leadership hiring strategies.

2. Leadership & Critical Hiring

  • Lead CXO, Plant Head, Technical Director, and senior commercial hiring.
  • Build succession pipeline for key technical and operational roles.
  • Develop strong industry mapping within building materials ecosystem.

3. Recruitment Operations & Process Excellence

  • Standardize recruitment processes across plants and regional offices.
  • Implement metrics-driven TA dashboards (TAT, cost per hire, quality of hire).
  • Drive automation and ATS implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with labor and statutory norms in plant hiring.

5. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage executive search firms and recruitment partners.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and ensure cost optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with HRBP, L&D, and Compensation teams.

6. Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a centralized and regional TA team.
  • Build capability in competency-based interviewing and technical assessment.
  • Establish performance metrics for recruitment team.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 20+ years of overall experience in HR, with strong specialization in Talent Acquisition.
  • Minimum 5 years leading Talent Acquisition in Building Materials industry (Cement, Steel, Paints, Tiles, Pipes, Faade Systems, Construction Chemicals, etc.).
  • Strong exposure to plant/manufacturing hiring.
  • Experience in multi-location and project-based hiring.
  • Strong business acumen with understanding of supply chain & distribution models.
