We are hiring for Lead Talent Acquisition role for a retail industry,

Headquartered in Gurugram, company operates a vast pan-India retail network of company-owned and franchise stores, supported by manufacturing facilities across the country. Known for strong brand recall, quality, and affordability, it holds a prominent position in Indias organised footwear market.


Location: Gurgaon


The Lead Talent Acquisition will lead end-to-end recruiting across business functions for Bata India . This role is responsible for defining and executing talent acquisition strategies aligned with business growth, managing large-scale volume hiring, strengthening leadership hiring, and building a future-ready, inclusive, and data-driven recruitment ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Talent Acquisition

Own and drive the overall talent acquisition strategy aligned with Batas business and growth objectives across India and select global roles.

Partner closely with senior business leaders and leadership teams to forecast hiring demand, workforce planning, and talent priorities.

Translate business strategy into scalable hiring plans across corporate, retail, manufacturing, and supply chain functions.


Volume & Specialized Hiring

Lead high-volume hiring initiatives for retail, frontline, and operational roles while ensuring speed, quality, and candidate experience.

Manage hiring for niche, leadership, and critical roles across functions and geographies.

Build and maintain a continuous talent pipeline for key and recurring roles.


Sourcing & Recruiting Operations

Design and implement innovative sourcing strategies using digital platforms, social media, referrals, vendor partnerships, and campus hiring.

Optimize existing sourcing channels and scale recruiting resources to meet fluctuating business demands.

Drive recruiter productivity, SLAs, and hiring efficiency metrics.


Candidate Experience & Process Excellence

Design and implement structured candidate surveys and ensure constructive feedback is shared with candidates, irrespective of hiring decisions.

Conceive, design, and govern ATS workflows ensuring process adherence, compliance, and data integrity.

Continuously improve recruitment processes using insights, analytics, and market benchmarking.


Diversity, Inclusion & Employer Branding

Lead and embed Diversity & Inclusion hiring strategies across all levels and functions.

Partner with Marketing and HR to strengthen employer branding and employee value proposition (EVP).

Represent Bata as an employer of choice across talent forums, campuses, and industry platforms.


Stakeholder & Vendor Management

Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on talent market trends, hiring risks, and solutions.

Manage external recruitment partners, RPOs, and vendors to deliver high-quality hiring outcomes at scale.


Key Skills & Competencies

Strategic thinking with strong execution capability

Expertise in volume hiring and large-scale recruitment operations

Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills

Deep understanding of ATS, recruitment analytics, and sourcing tools

Passion for candidate experience, D&I, and employer branding

Ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-location environment
