The team

Deloitte is working with various Public Sector Clients and International Donor Agencies in the Transport Sector. The team helps the client in addressing their Business Challenges and support in their transformation journey. As part of one such project, the team is looking for a suitable candidate who can bring in the desired qualification and experience to meet the project requirement.

Desired qualifications

MBA in Finance / Post Graduate Degree in Finance or equivalent.
Minimum 14 years experience in Infrastructure advisory with experience in financial analysis/ financial feasibility studies and financial modelling / PPP transaction advisory for Infrastructure Projects
The specialist should have experience in working as Financial Specialist/ Expert/Analyst for at least 2 (Two) similar projects.
Experience in bid process management including preparation of bidding documents, bid evaluation reports for consultancy/works projects in infrastructure sector.
Experience in Transaction Advisory for PPP projects is desirable

Location and way of working

Base location: Chennai
Hybrid is our default way of working. each domain has customized the hybrid approach to their unique needs and it also depends on client engagements.
This profile is full-time based out of client location and working days will be as per client calendar.


Your role as a Senior Consultant

Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial data and analysis.
Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial data and ensure accurate reporting.
Monitor key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess performance of operator/supplier.
Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for executive leadership and client meetings.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and company policies.
Support in the preparation of annual budgeting and forecasting processes by providing detailed financial analysis and insights.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing and supplier management.
Preparation of bid documents, response to pre-bid queries and evaluation of bid documents.
Manage the entire procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
Monitor and evaluate performance to ensure timely and correct payments to the operator/supplier.
Collaborate with various departments to understand procurement needs and align with the requirements.
