About Endee

At Endee.io, we are building a high-performance, cost-efficient and scalable vector database designed for AI applications such as semantic search, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), recommendation systems and large-scale analytics.

Role Overview

You will work directly on core systems in C/C++, contributing to the performance, stability, and feature set of a production-grade vector database. This job is structured to expose you to real-world engineering challenges across systems design, build tooling, and database internals.

It is for people whole love computer science to its core. It involves understanding how high-throughput systems behave under load.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop core C++ components of the Endee vector database.
• Optimize performance-critical code paths (storage, memory management, multimedia instruction set etc).
• Participate in architectural discussions and code reviews.
• Debug complex issues in multi-platform builds and runtime behavior.
• Document design decisions and support transition of features into mainline.
• Engage with open-source community contributions.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in C/C++.
• 3+ years of experience in building products.
• Ability to communicate well, both in person and on paper.
• Understanding of low-level performance (cache behavior, memory usage, storage etc).
• Insane drive and ownership - If you are world-class here, other requirements are optional.
